General description

The Hiscript II One-Step RT-qPCR Probe Kit is a convenient, ready-to-use kit with components optimized for reverse transcription and subsequent probe-based qPCR. The one-step format prevents contamination and allows for increased sensitivity. This kit is ideal for testing low-entry RNA samples.


For use in real-time RT-PCR (or RT-qPCR) applications, including the detection of RNA in the samples being analyzed. The HiScript II One-Step RT-qPCR Probe Kit is a ready-to-use kit for reverse transcription and subsequent probe-based qPCR in a single tube. The kit’s HiScript II reverse transcriptase provides a reliable reverse transcription of RNA.

After reverse transcription, the hot-start version of Taq polymerase is activated at 95 ° C and HiScript II reverse transcriptase is simultaneously inactivated. In the sequential PCR reaction, the 5′-3 ′ exonuclease activity of the Taq polymerase cleaves the hybridized probe, separating the reporter from the quencher and releasing the fluorescent signal.
